Decorating for Autumn

If you have been reading my blog since the beginning then you'll already know that Autumn is one of my most favourite times of year for a number of reasons. The changing colours, those sunny Autumnal mornings, cosy rainy days, and also decorating! I love an excuse to decorate for any occasion or season and with having my own home now, this has made everything that little bit more exciting. Ever since I was a teen and would watch Zoe Sugg (A.K.A Zoella) on YouTube, I had always loved the idea of decorating my own home as this was something she was well known for doing. So of course now that the time of year is finally here, I was so excited to finally do something I had been dreaming of!

I've got a little fireplace in my living room which I placed some of my little pumpkins and strung the autumnal leaf lights on. My living room in general has autumnal colours of oranges, ambers and golds, to having these little lights on really makes it feel so cosy - especially at night. I love that these are all decorations I used to put up in my bedroom at my parents house and now I have them here in my own little home. Feels like one of those full circle type moments almost.

As Halloween is coming up, I've added my Halloweeny mice decorations to the top of the fireplace too.

There's a little witchy one with a hat and broom.

And one that's sitting on top of a pumpkin.

I love festive mice decorations and the pair of them are just so cute I think.

At the bottom of my fireplace is a little white pumpkin and a clay leaf that my boyfriend's sister made. It's really cool. She got a leaf and printed it into clay and left it to set in a bowl so that the edges would curve up and then you've got what looks like a little leaf-shaped trinket holder. She painted it gold and I love it!

I also recently bought my mum and I matching Halloween highland cow decorations which I love! I really love highland cows in general at the moment so was so excited when I spotted them in one of my local garden centres. They had quite a few different Halloweeny and Autumnal highland cows so it was tricky to pick one but I'm happy with my choice.

In my bedroom and spare room I've got a string of pumpkin lights as well as some more little sparkly pumpkins which again were what I used to decorate my bedroom at my parents house. I love that I can spread out all my decorations and make my home feel all autumnal for the season.

Do you like to decorate for Autumn or Halloween?

Bye for now, xo
